I wanted to share a quick update: I’ll be stepping back from posting for a while, for a wonderful reason. We’re expecting a baby!
I’ve been focusing on my health and preparing for this new chapter in my life.
After a year and a half of hoping and trying, my husband’s and my dreams are finally becoming real, and we are incredibly grateful.
Hopeful Panda has always centered around healing from abusive parents, including breaking unhealthy cycles and building a better future.
Becoming a parent myself makes this work even more personal and important, and I will soon get to put those lessons into practice.
The fears and anxieties of whether I’ll be a good enough parent will likely always be there, but that’s a sign that I’m committed to giving my child the best I can.
I hope this pause can also help remind you to take time for yourself and for what matters most to you.
I don’t know exactly when I’ll return, but Hopeful Panda isn’t going anywhere. This site will continue to exist, and I’ll be back when I can.
